Related CommitteesQuality and Research CommitteeThe Quality and Research Committee is a standing committee of the DMAA and the Chair is a member of the DMAA Executive Committee. The Committee is responsible for implementing the DMAA's research agenda and meets monthly to monitor projects assigned to its dedicated Subcommittees and to share research-related information. Chair: Rose Maljanian, RN, MBA president & CEO Strategic Health Equations, LLC Outcomes Steering CommitteeThe Outcomes Steering Committee supports and directs DMAA's efforts to develop an industry-wide, consensus method for outcomes measurement. The committee works closely and collaboratively with recognized industry experts and allied organizations to identify and promote the best method by which to evaluate the results of disease management programs. Co-Chairs: Participant Satisfaction SubcommitteeThe Participant Satisfaction Subcommittee identifies, develops and encourages best practices and tools in the measurement and reporting of humanistic outcomes for disease and care management programs. The Subcommittee oversees activities undertaken with outside experts and consultants to further these goals. The Subcommittee is currently field-testing a survey instrument to for disease management program participant satisfaction. Co-Chairs: Predictive Modeling SubcommitteeThe Predictive Modeling Subcommittee seeks to educate the health care community about analytic tools for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of disease and care management programs. The Subcommittee oversees the development of informational materials, educational programs and products relating to predictive modeling and other relevant analytic tools that are essential to disease management and the broader health care community. The Subcommittee is developing a guide to predictive modeling applications for publication in a peer-reviewed journal. Chair: Michael Cousins, independent consultant Obesity WorkgroupCo-Chairs: Patient Safety and Quality CommitteeThe Patient Safety and Quality Committee is responsible for encouraging best practices in the detection, measurement and advocacy of patient safety and quality issues in disease management programs, and collaborating with groups that have similar goals. The Committee comprises content experts from across DMAA membership.
